January Whole 30
Hey everyone!
I’m joining the Whole30 family and doing my January Whole30!
I did my first whole30 a few years ago after I discovered It Starts with Food. Whole30 is an amazing program that helps to get people feeling their best! It eliminates gluten, grains, dairy, legumes and sugar. It helps to tame sugar dragons and give endless energy!
Whole30 is a great resource for anyone who feels run down from all the heavy food you eat around the holidays or just in everyday from a Standard American Diet. It’s a paleo-esque diet that emphasizes eating protein, fruits/veggies and quality fat. It is a wonderful resource to return to learning hunger cues and fueling your body!
I’ll be showing you my meals, weekly food prep here and on my instagram page. This will be a budget-friendly whole30 that also can help breastfeeding mamas as well (as I’m 6 months postpartum).
Question is Why Am I Doing a Whole30?
My reasons for a whole30:
- Still nursing my 6 month old and I want to fuel her and myself with the healthiest nutrition possible.
- Need to have more energy as I am not getting much sleep due to said baby and I am starting inpatient medicine next week
- Clear up my skin
- Help my digestion as I indulged on a few too many keto cookies during the holidays 🙂
- Hopefully lose a little baby weight (but let’s get real as weight loss should not be the main reason to do a whole30)
